Street-cleaning reminders for San Francisco

Scram remembers where you park and reminds you to move before the street gets cleaned. Free for iPhone.

Free on the App Store
  1. Saves your spot

When your drive ends, Scram saves where you parked and looks up the street-cleaning schedule.

  2. Scram home screen: Move by Tue, 9:00 AM, in 2 days, street cleaning. A map of Cow Hollow shows the car on the north side of Filbert Street, between Steiner and Pierce, above the posted signs: no parking 9 to 11 AM, 1st and 3rd Tuesdays, street cleaning; and 2-hour parking 8 AM to 6 PM, Monday to Friday, except area K permits.

    Tells you when to move

Open the app to see your deadline and the posted rules for your block.

  3. Reminds you before cleaning

You get a notification before the sweeper comes, and a last call when cleaning starts.

How it works

How does Scram know where I parked?
It uses your iPhone's location, motion and the Bluetooth connection to your car to tell when a drive has ended. Then it saves the spot.
When will I get reminded?
Before cleaning starts, as early as you choose. For early-morning cleaning you also get a heads-up the night before.
Where do the rules come from?
The City of San Francisco's official street-cleaning schedules and street-sign records. If a posted sign ever disagrees, go with the sign.
What about my privacy?
Your location is only used to find where you parked and look up the rules there. Your spot stays on your phone, and we don't collect it.
What does it cost?
It's free. There are no ads, subscriptions, or accounts. We're just trying to keep the streets clean.
